PHANTOM CARRIAGE GROWLER POLICY

LAST UPDATED: 8/9/2017

Our barrel aged sours are not available to go. We have blank growler's here for sale at $4 + price of beer. We only carry 32 oz. screw tops and will only provide caps for these sizes only. We will fill 64oz. or Litre growlers from another brewery as long as they are tapped up and covered.  We are not responsible for carbonation issues that occur from filling growlers that we do not carry.

Label Coverage Policy

We have ABC (Alcohol Beverage Control) approval to fill outside growlers with Phantom Carriage beer provided that all other names, logos, and/or addresses of another brewery are covered. Outside growlers MUST be covered prior to arrival at Phantom Carriage Brewery. We will not cover these for you. We recommend covering the logos with blue painters tape. Please do not cover it with paper. We will put our own tag on it stating size & beer type as well as the required government warnings.

Clean Growler Policy

Growlers must be CLEAN. We cannot emphasize this enough. THANK YOU in advance for cleaning your growler.

Suggested Growler Maintenance

Drink beer fresh. Don’t sit on a growler in your fridge for too long. Respect your vessle.

  • Upon buying a freshly filled growler: Keep out of direct sunlight. Keep cold. Open within less than 5 days of fill-date. Enjoy during the same day you open it for carbonation’s sake. If it gets warm, beer could re-ferment = exploded growler.

  • Upon finishing a growler: Rinse 1-2x with water. No soap. Shake the water around inside the growler a bit. Make sure there is no foamy water coming out (that’s still the beer). Leave the screw top or swing top off of the top of the growler and let the growler dry out with some airflow.

Phantom Carriage Brewery cannot fill the following growlers:

  • ceramic, clear or green glass growlers
  • dirty growlers
  • growlers that do not have their size clearly and officially stated on the growler

Phantom Carriage Policy Statement:  We may cut or limit growler fills at any time. We reserve the right to NOT fill your growler for any reason. Our growler policy is subject to change at our own discretion. Any growlers that do not comply with the specifications above will simply not be filled. We believe in rescuing the forgotten empty growlers on top of your fridge but not if it mutates quality of our beer or tampers with our alcohol license.
